This lesson looks at the key concepts of: Peace/ Justice/ Forgiveness/ Reconciliation. The lesson is designed to introduce students to what each key term means and link it to both Christian and Muslim attitudes. I have created a worksheet with all key information on and a student task sheet so that they can elicit the key information. Outcomes: Must know what some of the key terms and themes are in the Peace and Conflict unit Should explain why peace, justice, forgiveness and reconciliation are concepts that link together Could Evaluate whether peace, justice, forgiveness and reconciliation are concepts that are achievable.

To evaluate how these beliefs influence a Christian today A lesson that uses page 10-11 of the Oxford textbook to explore the Nature of God in Christianity. The lesson has 3 printable worksheets that allow students to explore key words and sources of authority. The lesson has a variety of stretch and challenge/ extension tasks and finishes with a 4 mark exam question (with peer assessment opportunity and advice in how to structure the answer)

A lesson with a worksheet that matches page 142-143 of the OXFORD Islam textbook. The lesson starts with a 4 mark question and looks at self assessment and exam technique. The lesson then looks at Shari'ah law and the death penalty with various images/ discussion activities. Students then can end the lesson by writing a 12 mark answer (various writing frames and tools have been added to assist in this) Outcomes: To describe Muslim attitudes to the death penalty To explain religious scripture that links to Muslim belief about the death penalty To evaluate whether you think the death penalty is an effective form of punishment (12 marker)

A lesson that allows students to revise a set of key quotes (resources provided). Tips and quick wins are on the PowerPoint Students can also look at/ practice and assess model 5 mark answers ( I recently did an AQA training course and based the answers on this) All models are worth 5 marks. I have tried to teach y11 to condense how much they write in a 5 mark question as many run out of time in the exam. There are opportunities for students to practice using Point-Evidence-Explain with suggested strategies for the long 12 mark answer

A lesson that looks at miracles and whether they happen using a biblical example. Students are encourages to assess a series of scenarios at the start of the lesson and depict which they think is a miracle. Students then are encouraged to define the word miracle. This then leads on to allow students to analyse a biblical miracle. YOU WILL NEED THE MOVE 'MIRACLE MAKER' and show the section which portrays the 'Raising of Jairus's daughter' OR you could find the story from the Bible.
